Well, here it is, my first finished piece that looks semi-good. The fabric i bought fairly cheaply at the market, but I didn't really know what to do with. And then I did!





I made a tie thing, since I have not yet mastered the arts of buttons or zips.

I think it looks pretty great!  I've never actually done zippers either...they seem so hard!
