First doily!

Pattern found at Celt's Vintage Crochet, http://www.angelfire.com/folk/celtwich/CrocusCluster.html

I did it in green so I wouldn't feel quite so Victorian while working on it, but now I wish I'd done it in white.  Anyway, I don't see us ever actually using doilies as doilies in this house, so I might frame it and hang it up, in which case green is good.

It's somewhat lumpy, and I couldn't quite understand how I was supposed to finish the clusters in the last round so they are very uneven, but it was fun to do.  Doilies rock, dudes!

It looks great from here!  Washing and blocking might take care of some of the lumpiness

I've always wanted to try a doily too, although I don't understand their use (are they glorified coasters?), the thread comes in really pretty colors!
Yours is great.

Long, long shall I rue thee, too deeply to tell.

It is perfect for St. Patrick's Day and Christmas.  I love making doilies sometimes.  I find that about round 10 I end up putting it down and it stays down.  I have seen a few lately that I am thinking of doing, pineapple too.  Great job!
