I'm totally in love with Lois's Pulitzer dress in Superman Returns, and I'd love to make a blouse of the same style, but I'm still in search of a pattern to use. I'm not very familiar with places to find patterns (besides Simplicity and McCalls), so any other pattern sources would be excellent.

Has anyone seen any patterns with a similar design?

I usually just search the pattern co's websites.  I tried www.voguepatterns.com and found this:

http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/voguepatterns/shop.cgi?s.item.V8034=x&TI=20011&page=3
View C is similar to what you pictured, but not exactly.

I looked around some more, but that was the only one w/ the right sleeves.  It's been a popular style lately (kind of kimono-like), so might be easy to find one in stores and use it as a prototype.

I always just look at the major pattern co's websites because I know that I can get those patterns at JoAnns when they go on sale next (which we all know they do quite often).  Hopefully you find it a pattern and then the right fabric Smiley

Funny I stumbled upon this post... I JUST pulled a pattern out of my collection of vintage Simplicity that's very similar to what you're looking for: (sorry for the lousy scan)

You'd have to cut down the front to create the V-neck, but the sleeves are exactly the same.

It's a bust 38-40", waist 30-32", hips 40-42".  It's cut, but all the pieces are there.  PM me if you'd like to do a pattern swap!  I have so many patterns that I'll probably never use - but I'm always happy to receive new ones!

Thanks guys!!
Actually I think the Vogue pattern is very close to what I was looking for. I'm heading to my grandma's this weekend, so I think I'll take it along and see if she can help (master seamstress, that one). I've never bought any patterns, so I'm going to need the primer on reading it and using it.

I got the picture from the galleries at http://kal-el.org
My boyfriend's a Superfan, and he knows all the good places to go, but not how to get me that dress that I must have :p
