i didn't use a pattern for these, but they were very easy to make up as i went along.
they ended up much longer than i anticipated, but i really like that about them now. i can't wait for late fall when i can wear them under a jacket and there won't be any drafty sleeves if i still feel like wearing tshirts! (you know how it goes...the breeze up the sleeves that gives you a chill because you weren't smart enough to wear long sleeves and it's not cold enough for gloves yet?!
anyway, enough chatter, here's my gloves:
they shaped really well, and they don't even fall down my arms when i'm wearing them! i considered doing a corset-style lace-up tie thingy on the sides, but then i realized how difficult that would be to tie for myself that high up on the arm!
if you're interested in making some, all i did was ch about 45 or 50, then hdc until it was wide enough to reach around my wrist. i seamed up as much as it would go, and then added a few more rows in the top half to make it wider at the top than it was around the wrist. for the thumb, i just ch 5 st and sk 5 and kept going, just like you would if you were making a button hole. to make the little sleeve for the thumb, i just sc around and around the hole until i got the length i wanted.
i'm sure my instructions don't make any sense at all! if anyone is interested, i can answer questions, or try to make that makeshift pattern more clear!
