JULY 2006 Birthday Month Swap(SIGN-UPS CLOSED)

Happy birthday to all!  I'm Amanda and I turned 30 on July 1.  I live in the SF bay area; I'm in Santa Cruz for the summer and then I'm moving up to Oakland in the fall to attend CCA; I'm studying photography.  I knit and crochet, and have the ability to sew but am mostly too lazy to do it.  As far as general color preferences go, I tend to like weird greens, mossy or chartreuse-y or olive or lime (etc..), most shades of orange shy of neon, light blue/brown combos, black/white combos, Kaffe Fassett, Amy Butler or Denise Schmidt prints.  Navy and white is good for nautical themes-- I have an anchor tattoo, and some stars, so I like that sort of thing as well.  I have a long-haired chihuahua, black and tan with a white chest, so you could try to work him in somewhere if you're feeling doggy.  Now, the list!

An embroidered pillowcase.  Any style of embroidery, any kind of pattern will make me happy.  My great-aunt made me some with really dorky flowers on them years ago, and I've loved them ever since.

A pillowcase, in some kind of loud print or patchwork, or screen print, for a 25"x25" pillow.  

Size 6 glass beads, not pearl colored, but any other color or a harmonious mix.  At least 150 beads (it's for an Odessa hat http://www.magknits.com/feb06/patterns/odessa.htm)

An apron, plain ol' over-the-neck style, either in some cool fabric or plain canvas with a screen(or any other kind of) print or some kind or embroidery-- I cook all the time, so nothing too delicate; this will be used daily and messily.

A t-shirt, screen (or otherwise)printed or embroidered, no words, but pretty much any kind of image.  Animals, plants, appliances, whatever.  I like a slightly fitted t or some girlier style above the standard t-shirt shape.  I'm usually a small, but a medium in American Apparel products (made for skinny little hipsters).

Couple of things:

We still have NINE whole days to pick a July Birthday!!!  Everyone has been selected at least once except for any new people who just joined  and I know of at least one other person who wants to join as soon as her swap is completed (she is a newbie!)---

I like bright colors (I don’t like pastels. lilac/lavender looks especially grotesque on me). My favorite color is red but I also love Kelly green, hot pink, and purple. I’m a vegetarian and don’t wear fur/leather/suede. I really like cutesy kinds of things especially animals, dinosaurs, monsters, robots, rainbows, hearts, stars, leopard print, anything to do with Broadway or theatre, Harry Potter, and Asian inspired things (I’m Japanese) and I really like vintage. My favorite movie is Amelie. I’m a fabric addict and I love to sew my own clothes, especially dresses, so any cute fabrics or patterns would be totally appreciated!
