I bought a plain white skirt at winners that had two layers of fabric attached at the bottom so it kind of puffed out. I didn't like it so I took it apart, added another layer, gathered fabric, added some lace to cover up a really ugly seam and added a row of black roses across.
Though its really hard to see that they are black roses, but I swear they are!

Please ignore the clutter behind me, my poor room is overdue for a cleaning..

Thank you all!
You can't really see it but I need to hem the top layer at the back, but it's not a big deal.

I really like the gauzyness of the fabric and the black/white thing. Black roses?? AwEsOmE

Look at me, I'm on TV, it makes up for the shortcomings of being poor. Now I'm in a million pieces picked up for deliberation by the people listening at home, by the people watching on the telly...

Yes people tell me they thought the roses were buttons from far away..

Thank you both!
I honestly had no idea how the layering was going to turn out. I really just winged it, I don't even remember pinning it!
