Hey,  I just started this too, with some Jaegerspun Zephyr in Ladyslipper.  I'm just hoping I won't get too bored with all the stockinette before you get to the fun part!  I think I'm going to use the article in the new Knitty and learn how to knit across backwards, because I am apparently the world's slowest purler.

Hey all!  Just thought that I'd bump this up to see where everyone is at.  I'm just about done the fifth repeat of the first chart.  As soon as my digi batteries are charged, I'll post pics Smiley  I'm doing it in a white sirdar snuggly for a friend who is allergic to wool (hopefully will be her shower gift when she gets engaged, as that is supposed to be soon, according to her boyfriend who is also a close friend), she doesn't read this forum, so I'm safe Cheesy

XD

I'm on the 3rd repeat, I sort of abandoned my shawl in july. I do maybe a row a week. >_>

I've been working on birthday gifts though and as soon as I'm done, I'll be getting back in.

Ugg I had to fly on thursday with all the extra security craziness. So no knitting for me. I checked everything when they told me that they were not allowing knitting needles again. Sadly this meant much flight time lost for Icarus.

Mohair in the muggy weather of  WI has been pretty miserable a nyways though. Hopefully I will get more done in the next few weeks since it seems a little cooler now.

I've got one row of chart two left, and let me tell you.... it's so exciting to see the actual lacy parts come out after all that tedious stockinette stuff.  I think that I'm going to do the Print o' the Wave stole next for myself.  I'm hooked on lace!

I'm glad all of you have been dedicated to working on your shawls.

I was hoping there was a knitalong for this! My Icarus has been shelved in favor of some good rainbow socks (Trekking, my fave!) and a boyfriend sweater, but I really would like to pull it back out. Maybe this weekend? I'll try to get progress pics up soon. Pics, anyone?
