i'm signed up!

Just want to say that I'm sure no one here condones serial KILLING or KILLERS or people dieing, etc.  I can only speak for myself when I say that to me the intrigue and obsession comes from trying to figure out how the mind could work in such strange and disturbing ways.  To hear about all the ways that the human character can deviate from what is normal is fascinating.  SO from my point it's just more of a psychological interest more than like "Oh he's so cute, oh he killed some people... oh well he's still cute! weee"

I think I would mainly want stuff with the face of the killer.  My favorite is Charlie Manson and he has such crazy facial expressions that anything can be interesting just by having his face on it!

artxinxlies:

Have you seen "live freaky, die freaky"?  Here is a llink to the website:

http://www.livefreakydiefreaky.com/

It is a claymation, musical comedy about the Manson killings.  Super offensive and weird.

By the way, i would like to participate in this swap, but I am doing my first one now... Cry

I couldn't resist any longer! Just signed up.
This is a wonderful swap idea. Nice to see some morbid humor/fascination on the craftster board.

Strange fact: I live four blocks up from Ted Bundy's parents. When I was in 7th grade my friend and I tricked them into giving us their autographs by making up some community petition that they signed. That probably sounds terrible, but hey, we were young.

artxinxlies i totally agree with and share your viewpoint. i'm fascinated by how these people could be so twisted and evil. i was in the los angeles area where richard ramirez (night stalker) was doing his killings, and i can remember being really afraid every night and locking all the windows in the house, even though it was hot out (i think i was 8 ).
now i live only about 1/2 mile from where the "muswell hill murderer" dennis nilsen, stored his victims bodies in a wardrobe in his flat in london. everytime the bus passes his old street, i can't help but strain to see the house where he lived.

My friends and I always have themed birthdays at our favourite bar, and for my best friend I suggested we dress up as serial killers' victims (we were afraid dressing up as the actual killers might offend people - it was the week before halloween anyway). I was Sharon Tate, complete with blonde wig and fake pregnant belly.

I would loooooooove to sign up for this, but I'll have to give it some more thought. My father-in-law is going to be visiting from July 19 - Aug 2 so I have to make sure I'll have enough time to devote to my crafting. If not, there better be a second round!
