I tried making this dress but had SERIOUS problems with the dress being WAY TOO big at the waist.  What measurement should I use?  I used the underbust divided by four method and that was HUGE!  Please help me 'cause I need this dress for Halloween!  Thanks!

I made one but failed on the straps I cut them too narrow how do you work out how wide they should be?

ShelbyBelby : you gotta divide by Pi to get the correct circle waist..... I just fudged mine by dividing by 3, as it was a stretch fabric it worked fine  Smiley

I am officially gonna jump on this bandwagon.  I have a box full of 2 way stretch living under my bed that is begging to have something made out of it.

Also wanted to mention I have a summer top at home which I bought at a chain store around 6 years ago that uses a similar concept.  It is even more brief than the tops I have seen here in this thread so I'll take some pics when I find the top.  For now, try to imagine a string bikini made with infinity dress type ties instead of the usual triangles.  I loved it so much I did try to make another, but that was a very long time ago and my sewing skills sucked, it was a disaster.  Time for me to try again.  Grin  I'm so excited.

Soooo... I have a question. It's hard to tell in the picture tutorial but are the straps placed on the dress right sides together?
