Thanks alwaysinmyroom!  Yeah, the hairstyle is different because I couldn't be bothered with it down while I was re-tying the dress in the 100 degree heat!  I would've shown more ways to tie it, but my hubby wasn't in the mood to play photographer anymore. lol!

The stripey fabric is this:
 Reds, purple, black, tan, rose...
The colors are shown better here:

(This is a random shot...I was trying (unsuccessfully) to use the self-timer on the camera)!!! Ignore my silly pose!
It lays on the diagonal on the skirt in parts, due to it being a circle skirt....the pattern is vertical on parts, horizontal on others, since it is all one piece of fabric.  I hope that makes sense.

Heres a similar dress I seen & loved last summer. Its made with contrasting fabrics though, which I think looks very cool. I hope this pic works!

ahhhh--those are gorgeous!! I am going to try those--tying around the waist to make a skirt!!!  I can't wait to get back from vacation to sew more dresses!!!  I think this addiction is worse than making purses or ATC's!!!!

The fabric you used originalyouth is excellent--gives a whole new spin--I hope I can find some like it!! Beautiful...

I thought the grey looked good on you...but holy cow, this color is GORGEOUS on you!!  Such a lovely face and a lovely color--I like how you have it wrapped--very classy!! Are you going to try a print?
