as promised... the REAL dress with the pretty red print. This one was a little more difficult since the print is only one-sided. I couldn't just line up any old side I wanted. So I ended up not following Ro's tute exactly. i seamed with the right side of the skirt facing up. It made more sense to me that way anyway. As you can see from the back pics, one-sided prints require some extra care, so I'll probably double the straps toward the end so that it's 2-sided.
I plan to wear to a wedding rehearsal dinner this weekend, I'm thrilled!!!!

This is a beautiful thin knit. The lady cutting it at the fabric store said, and i quote, 'oooo, this fabric is like buttah!'
i'm a 36B/C, and by tying it under or over the bust, there is no extra holdage needed. it's definitely possible to wear a tank top or something though as well. it's a good idea to make a practice one with some cheaper fabric to understand how it goes together. Lining everything up under the seam takes some patience!

Go sew it!
