Wow. I just spent the last hour and a half reading ALL 37 pages of this thread. Im completely in awe of everyones attempts and the genius of which Rostitchery started the whole thing. Im new to sewing but I def. want to make this my first real sewing project. LunaGirl yours was soooo amazing. Def one of my favorites. I was just wondering what fabric yours was or perhaps where you got it? And if you actually did a circle skirt? Or if you modified it somehow?    I cant beleive I've never seen this thead... now Im just going to go and think about this dress until I can attempt to get fabic tomorrow. Good job everyone! Shocked

This is my version that I made tonight with my last $30. Good thing my parents pay for everything...

This is my favorite way to wear it.

I'm in love with it and am going to make one in every color. I can't get it to stay up where I want it, though, even with elastic  Undecided

And by the way, I colored out my face because I'm unphotogenic, not because of safety or something. My friends thought I was weird for doing it.

Yeah, til you get wedding pics taken, then those become your best pics! LOL!
Don't worry about it, most of us cut off our head in our photos too!

I adore the color and drape of your fabric ALICELOVESTER!  Good job!  I have to get out and get more fabric for this one, I want to make a top next, I think!

Well, I think that all of you look great but you are right, we all cut our heads off!! hee hee

alicelovester--when you say you are having a hard time keeping it put--do you mean at the waist or the "straps"?  Is it because the material is slinky or the circle too big at the waist?  I am making one for someone about your size and I want to know what problems I could have...thanks.  It looked like it fit you pretty well--so does it start slipping after you wear it for a while?

Can't wait to see your top originalyouth!!

The biggest problem that i had with it staying in place was that I always seemed to be undoing it to show someone just how simple of a dress it actually was! Cheesy

Alicelovester, that color is **incredible** on you! I like the length of your skirt, too.

Great job!

alwaysinmyroom: It was around the waist part. The elastic part keeps sliding down a little bit (probably only because I try to hike it up so high), but the fabric is a little slippery, so that's probably it.

eirle: Thanks! I was trying to decide between this and turquoise, but I decided this would be much more fall-y. And I couldn't decide on the length of the skirt, so I cut it as long as possible and ended up loving it.
