Thank you all for posting your ideas, modifications and pictures. I am SO inspired. I have a wedding to attend and none of my dresses fit (post baby weight that didn't "just fall off"). I will be making this dress in some black slightly stretchy fabric and if it looks good, I'll go out and get either a coloured fabric or a patterned one to make one for teh wedding.

I plan on making an a-line skirt (so two seams on teh sides) and about 35cm wide ties.

Oh.. and I just wanted to say that I was so inspired by all of yoru work that it made me register on Craftser just so that Ic an join in the fun!

i finished it!  i had posted earlier about doing this pattern for my graduation dress and here it is!


the full thing.  because i made it i could have the skirt as long as i wanted!


a slightly closer view.  i wrapped it in the grecian style.
