Arrrrrrgh!
I started this last week and I wanted something to wear to a Tiger Army show Tues night so I finally finished it up.  The girl who busted in on me in the bathroom (broken lock) totally loved it!
It was a bit shorter than I anticipated so no bending over for me but I put some leggings under it and I was good to go. It was my first go at something like this and I was surprised it held up so well. I ripped it at the bar a bit but this is what safety pins are for!
It's made from a black t-shirt and some extra stripey fabric I had laying around. The sleeves of the shirt are now the cross over part in the front. It was so fun to wear something I made to a show!

So here's me after the show, screwing around in my room. Oh and I'm a huge dork so excuse me for it being so obvious!

Whadya think?

This makes me very happy!  Great job, this looks good on you!  Is a dress or a top and skirt?  I particularly like the matching of the skirt by putting a strip in the top Smiley  Rock on sista!

I know these replies are old, but I rediscovered my own post while futzing around on here. Anyhoo, yeppers, it's a dress. A one complete unit thing that I ripped the first night I wore it, but I was prepared with safety pins and it's back to it's old self now.

As for a tute I followed multiple things from http://www.whatthecraft.com and some trial and error. I like this site cuz it's all about mearurements, no patterns or sizing, and she's got some really cute styles to suit everyone.
