I don't own a dress...so I decided to make me one for summer. I was hoping to get sort of a 'beetlejuice' effect with the black/white vertical stripes (I dont know if I accomplished that). I used big pics to show the stripes better. I made it following Lamby's fantastic tutorial and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

The camera sort of skewed the stripes, they're very thin black and white stripes.

This one shows the stripes the best, and it shows the back with the zipper and where it ties with a bow.

This pic was just for fun Smiley

Beautiful!  I tend to like black and white stripes anyway but that's gorgeous!
And yeah, hope that's paint!

I instantly thought of Beetlejuice when I saw it. And then when I read what you wrote, I felt I should just let you know  Smiley

I love, love, love this dress!  I am been thinking about trying out Lamby's tutorial for this dress but have been afraid.  I don't have a dressform and thought it might be too difficult.

Did you use a dressform??? If you didn't I have a re-newed courage to attempt it!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! Cheesy

and yes, that's paint on the floor...as you can see, it's the same color as the walls.
I didn't use a dressform...the tutorial was very easy to follow and the dress fits perfectly

Thanks again for commenting, people Wink
