"A cheerful heart is good medicine" Proverbs 17:22

I was strolling down the hall at work this morning when I noticed the recycle bin was overflowing with manilla folders.  They were perfect except for some writing on the tabs.  I scooped them up and grabbed a big stack of scratch paper I've been saving and ran to the paper cutter.  I sliced off the folder tab with the writing on it, cut the folders in half the long way as well as the paper.  I fit the paper inside the downsized folder and stapled it on the backside.  I added a sticker freshly printed from my Dymo LabelWriter and WAHLAAAAAAAAH!  A custom made eco-friendly notepad for scribbling, phone messages, journaling, etc.

Please excuse the odd pics...I used my scanner

I am the same way...I have a real issue with throwing something out if it can still be used in some way.  My pile of odds and ends on the workbench in my garage is a testament to that! Smiley

Thanks to all of you...You've made my day!  I've made a bunch more since then...each one has a funny sticker on the cover.  Some say 'Treehugger', 'Compost Happens', 'I Love to Recycle'...silly things like that.  I've improved the design a little too.  I'll post more pics soon.

P.S. Batgirl...I love your new AV.  When I was little, I could always be found on the McDonalds playground riding the Filet-O-Fish!

Grin Isn't that funny? It was randomly on the campus where I recently attended a seminar. I was so fascinated by it all out of context like that!

Day, the world needs more thoughtful & crafty guys like you! Yay you!  Grin

Love this so much! I think I may try something like it only using cereal boxes instead of manila folders.

Oh man!  That's a great idea!  With a heavy duty stapler to bind the note pages, almost anything could be used as the front and back covers.  Awesome idea!
