my first belt.
its elastic.
everything is handsewn.
thats why the stitching looks bad
this was the first thing i've ever sewn in my life
hehe

Just great...I've been wanting to try making a belt but I don't no where to get those D rings...where did u get yours and were they expensive??? great job!!!

oh thanks! i got the D rings at this fabric store in LA, it was 10 for a buck.

that is so cute..and believe me, your sewing skills are much better than mine. one thing that i have done is to go to thrift stores and find cool cloth belts there that i like. if they aren't d-ring, i just cut the buckle part off and sew it to a d-ring, and fold the other part over itself and sew that. the one thing is that you have to be sure the belt will still be big enough after you cut it.

I got some D-rings at Walmart , they have them hanging in the buttons shelf or whatever you call that thing (rotating shelf  Huh), they are at the very bottom. Around the area where they have the treads and ribbons.  If I'm not mistaken i paid less than a dollar and the package had 2 sets of d-rings (4).
