I'm wanting to get a head start on my halloween costume this year. I'd like to be a sexy fairy. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have nothing so far.

yup! I think that for your costume you could get a bunch of different colors of sheer fabric and cut it into skinny long triangles then attatch them to the waist of a skirt...
you could do some neat colored fishnets too... and some sort of peasant top?

I'm gonna be a fairy this halloween too!
For my inspiration I looked up Fairy artwork....
 http://www.strangeling.com/fairyart1.html
 http://www.amybrownart.com/default.asp
 http://www.enchanted-art.com/

Also for some wing inspiration I looked up cartoon dolls, wings
 http://www.dollzmania.net/faries.htm

I plan on making two sets of wings. Dark fairy and light fairy.
Dark fairy's wings will be this shape:

I'm still debating on the outfits. But a lot of the artwork provides good ideas.
Instead of just the basic fairy look.

For my hair I'm thinking of dying it with koolaid.
I'm not sure if I should do blue or purple. Or maybe orange because I have blue eyes.

Also I plan on doing bodyart (think henna/tattoo designs) with washable markers. Probably celestrial swirls and such. Plus I thinking about making some
hair accessories and new jewelry.

Thanks for all the help, guys! But I think I'm gonna have to change my costume idea. My tummy has gotten bigger, since I posted the first one, due to a baby. LOL!

congratulations! it would actually look aweomse as a pregnant fairy (cuz it's such a beautiful natural thing ^^) a dress of layers of green and brown sheer with an opaque layer underneath would be nice
