That's beautiful! I love hawaii-flowers, actually I'm looking for a similar fabric for a bag myself. I have also wanted to try stenciling on my bags, I think the solid color ones sometimes can get a bit boring, if there's not any texture in the fabric. I think I'll give it a shot now, maybe a dragon for my sister... Where did you get your stencil, by the way?

Nice bag!
Is that a stencil or some sort of applique?

Yes, it's a stencil! I don't really remember where I got the stencil, but if you want it pm me.

what kind of fabric did you use?  I wanted to make wristlets for some of my friends and I was hoping to stencil on it.  I was thinking solid color, lightweight canvas with a lining...any thoughts?

Good job, the stencil seems really neat!
Did you use a sponge? or a roll over tool (dunno the exact name!) to apply colour on fabric?

I used a fabric for trousers with a little stretch amount, but not much. I don't know if you could use it for wristlets. Why don't you try 100% cotton? I think that would be more comfortable to wear. And as for the lining a softer fabric.

I found a sponge brush at a local craft store, but thought it to expensive. Therfore I took an old sponge you use in the kitchen for washing dishes( don't know if you have them in the USA..they are mostly yellow with a green top) and cut it into stirpes. Then I added adhesive tape... et voila my own sponge brush!!!

Oh no, you just had to ruin it and show a bag with Hawaiian print to me! Hawaiian prints are my weakness!!!  hehe

I love it! It seems like such a simple bag. The fabric on the inside is eye catching, but those palmtrees there balance it all out. Love blue too.  Love the bag!
