I have some etsy questions and I would love if someone could help me!

1. How much does it take out of your account monthly (bank account)
2. Who does banners and how do you post them?
3. How did everyone advertise, the people who sold 100+ items?

I love personal swaps! Just ask me about them! I have tons of fabric to trade for maybe other fabric..or knitted or crochet items!!!

3. How did everyone advertise, the people who sold 100+ items?

1. It is 10cents for each listing and they take 3.5% of each item you sell so it varies by how much you list and how much you sell.

2. There are a lot of people that will do free banners for you. Just post in the forums (the Help section).

3. People advertise everywhere. They hand out biz cards wherever they go and they advertise on other sites. I'm sending stuff to the Sampler for the first time in hopes of it bringing more traffic/sales. www.homeofthesampler.com

I hope I've helped!

Hey Hurricane

The etsy fees realy depend on how many things you put in your shop and how many things you sell.  Currently it is 10 cents to list something and 3.5% of your final price to sell something.  I average between $10-20 a month on etsy fees.  Not sure what others are averaging

Lasandri makes great banners.  She hangs out in this thread sometimes.  Once you have the file from her, you go to "your account" and then just upload the image like any other image.

if you want Ideas on how to promote your shop Check out my post on this page (second one down) about promoting your shop

Thanks so much! So there isn't a "monthly" fee, there is only a posting fee...plus commision?

What size is your current banner?  If you don't make it to the exact specs., it will stretch/shrink it to fit and that makes it awful & distorted.

No, banners are 535 pixels wide by 77 pixels high.

Whats your shop?  We can't click and swoon over all your goodies if ya don't have a link as your website or in your signature.  Smiley  I'm a swooner!  I'm a shopper!  Gimme a link.  Smiley
