Here it is everybody! Got a house full of craft supplies gathering dust? Get ready to use them up! You'll be matched with a partner by what you've got to use up and what you'd like to recieve, and you are NOT ALLOWED to buy anything new to make it with! It's your word of honor, of course, but you don't really want to buy anything, do you? =)
It'll be one big thing, one medium, and one small thing unless you work it out with your partner differently.

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

Sounds very economical!  I have lots of dust-gathering-crafts including tons of scrapbooking materials (due to my former prego friend), FABRIC---ug---looking at it makes me so sad, sugar---for sugar skulls....

Ooh this is a cool idea! Can we post ideas in this thread about stuff we want to use up and the kind of thing we'd like? (like we did on the knit/sew/crochet swap signups recently http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=16740271.10)

Yay, ooh I have lots of sturdy bright red fabric. So I could definitely make a big strong book bag with pockets or roomy shopper if anyone likes pillarbox red Smiley Hmm what else, I found an old-school nintendo bedsheet that looks like it'd never been used in a thrift shop last week. Couldn't resist buying it so if anyone wants a retro pillow featuring Mario saving Princess Peach from Bowser I'd love to make you one! Cheesy
I'll go dig around and see what else I have that's crying out to be used. I know I've got zips in all lengths and colours so could definitely do zippered pouches and such.

ETA: I'd love some teeny crochet flowers that I could sew pin backs onto and use as brooches. All colours but especially one in green if anyone has a bit of green yarn lying about!

So, how do we work this?  Do we claim each other?  Or does this just make matches easier for our gracious organizer?

I'm a little confused.   Huh

I have quite a lot of upholstery-weight fabric I'd like to use. I'd love to make throw pillows, a bag or two (tote bag, jordy bag, whatever, provided it's not too difficult), altoids tins, stitch markers, crocheted flowers (barrettes or otherwise), something out of two pounds (no, seriously) of gray-green chenille yarn... (any ideas?)

I'm a little confused.   Huh

It just makes matching people easier for the organizer and helps everyone a) suss out what other folks are after and b) think of things that they'd like to receive Smiley
