I have what I like to think is an Indie rocker type style. These two recons were made by cutting apart two large men's flannels I found on the cheap and two clearance tshirts, a size smaller than my usual medium, and sewing parts of them back together.

The first used a really cool tshirt with a girl on the front. I used a heavy wool-type flannel and cut off the buttons, cuffs and collar. I added the bottom of the strip of buttons to the collar to make it longer to fit the neckline of the tshirt.

You all get to see my new hat because no one gets to see my messy hair Tongue

Lookie at the BEAutiful Iowa corn... Psh, yeah right.

This one is using a lighter purple flannel. It uses the same concept but with the whole sleeve and the back of the shirt made into a hood.

That's my gangsta look

Tell me what you think. The purple one is going to state fair in 4-H because it has cleaner seams. On the red one I surged all the edges with black thread and topstiched with lime green (to match the girl's eyeshadow) and the judge wasn't too into it. And it's really crooked because I like to go fast:D I also made a lace tank top and a kick ass pair of converse, but those go into other categories.

I love your gangsta hoodie, the longer sleeves seem to make more design sense to me.

So impressed by the way you combined the t-shirts and the men's shirts to make something that looks as if it was meant to go together that way.  I like them both - the short sleeve goes well with the girl on the t-shirt and the long sleeve works very nicely with the hood.  Congratulations you are very talented.

These are so cute! And I have like 3 plaid button-down shirts of my husband's that are old & too small for him but (since he's a foot taller than me LoL) still too big for me to really use them much, something along these lines would be perfect! Cheesy
