thanks for the kind words, everyone!  it gives me additional fervor with which to keep plugging along with this stuff...

bclikesyou - yes, i had to create a few bridges for the eyes and nose and then fill them in.  the usual!

I love it! I'd seen this stencil, but never got up the nerve to try it. You have inspired me. I just put him on my jeans. Such a cutie. I keep looking at my thigh now, people must think I'm crazy.

I cut out the eyes, nose, leaf, etc. separately and laid them out very carefully then ironed them on using freezer paper instead of using bridges to minimize me having to actually paint...I'm horrible at freehanding.

Your wish is my demand.  Grin Edit: Command, not demand. o_O

Sorry for the crappy picture. I used teal, because I didn't want it to stand out too much - it turned out pretty well! My only complaint is that it's kind of shiny, so when the light hits it wrong you can't tell what it is.

I've seen that stencil on Stencilry as well, and was considering using it. After seeing this finished product, I think I must. Your shirt turned out adorably!

Very cute shirt! Love it! Has anyone seen the redubbed version of Totoro. It makes me sad. It just isn't the same.

Life's pretty good, and why wouldn't it be? I'm a pirate, after all.
