Last week I went to a gourd festival and made this drum in one of the prefestival classes.  It is made out of a large gourd with a goat skin head and BB's & shot to make the ocean sound.  Too bad I can't post sound.

That is so kewl!!

My hubby is a professional drummer and collects all sorts of drums from all over the world--he has a few gourd shakers but not sure if he has a gourd drum!!

Very nice---I bet it sounds great!!

One day sock monkeys will take over the world... make sure you're on their side!
