ok so...i decided to crochet hemp?  i know this has probably been done before but i've never heard of it or tried it before, so here is my first attempt...

it's a necklace, im not sure how much i like it though.  i think the stitches need to be smaller, but when i tried using a smaller hook it didnt grab the hemp correctly...i'll have to work on this, i guess

opinions??

I really like that!  Of course, I love hemp and I love crochet.  I was just thinking about doing this myself, actually.  Glad to see it turns out well.

Love your necklace, I am planning to use hemp and crochet or tatting very soon as well.  What I want to know is does it itch?  Your stitches are beautiful I wouldn't change a thing.

Very cool!  I just tried this the other day!
To add beads, you have to string them on before you start to crochet(make sure you string them on in the pattern you want them to appear in your finished work).  Then, as you crochet, you slide up a bead at the beginning of your stitch and complete the stitch around it.
