Thanks, fluffysam and milesapart714! I'm glad you like it. Normally I don't go for super happy and inspirational, but I needed something to cheer me up and this helped.

Milesapart714, I'm sorry to hear that you just went through a bad one too. It's times like that when you realize how wonderful your friends and your hobbies really are. They get you through the day and sometimes that's the best we can ask for. If you do a mosaic, definately post it. I'm sure everyone would love to see it!  Smiley

wow...it is gorgeous and i love it. i'm very interested in making a mosaic like this...i just have one question..i'm super new to this website and to crafting...all the marbles and broken glass that you used...was it already colored? or do you use paint at all? thanks...is there anyway you could send maybe a closer picture or something, i'm just trying to figure out exactly how you did this.

thanks =) and good job, it looks awesome!!

Thanks, jazzinjenny! The glass that I used was already colored. I suspect that paint would not hold up to the grouting process and most likely would rub off. The glass I used came from craft stores, the internet and from my own recycling. Some was already in pieces, some I cut from sheets or trimmed, some I smashed myself. I'll try to remember to take some pictures while I'm working on my next mosaic. Until then, here's a closeup of one part of the mosaic. This is before I did my final sponge and cleanup, so the grouting still looks a little rough. I hope this helps!

So beautiful and relaxing to look at...way to create a memory into the future.  All the broken pieces to be enlightened by the day...poetic in form!!
