Whoa, flying_babyb!  "Almost done yesterday?!"  You are on fire, girl!  That makes me excited, since I'm your swap partner!  Cheesy  I'm getting started this weekend.  I think I need to a little "research" to complete my idea, that's all I can reveal......

I got started today, but alas I am house sitting and was unable to bring all my craft supplies with me so just as I got going I realized I was missing some important things.

I just have to say that decorating a tin is way, way, way, way different than wood or paper mache (my usual mediums)...  Undecided

(this is my first time working with metal. I'm sure I'll get passed it, but right now, blech)

Hmmm...I confess I had to Google "Menards" and to find out what it is!  We don't have that store in Kansas City.  It looks like they carry e.v.e.r.y.thing, so I'm stumped.  I guess I'll wait to be surprised!

Ok, I need help!

If you want to paint the tin (after sanding it) how do you keep the paint from rubbing off where the lid overlaps the sides of the bottom? Huh Does that make sense?

In my experience, you can't really do anything with that part of the tin. Paint rubs off, paper tears, clay keeps the tin from closing...just leave it "natural".
