Made this for my boyfriend's birthday (which is next month). Going to find/make more stuff to put inside. I used an origami tutorial which I've used many times before ( http://web-japan.org/kidsweb/virtual/origami2/box.html ) and I think I can make the boxes off by heart now. I did the calligraphy (Japanese katakana) by hand and if anyone wonders what it says, it's just his name and mine alternating. Smiley

(Two similar pictures can be found here: http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/137/boxblur9dp.jpg
http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/5052/box22bu.jpg and yes, there are a lot of books in my room. Tongue
The colour is a bit off because of the camera flash... I mean, that is the same cover it's sitting on!!!)

You can't really tell the size from the photo, but it is a little 16 inches from point to point and about 4 high. I used a big sheet of card (think it was a little bigger than A3) that I had left over from my art class.

If anyone needs animated directions for the box, just check out this fantastic origami site.  New projects every month.
