This is my newest creation (well- the newest one I've gotten around to posting). They are bright pink fingerless gloves made from some merino I bought in Italy on vacation. I've been too nervous to use it before now, seeing as I'm used to cheap acrylic yarn, but I decided to go ahead since they're for a friend. I feel a little silly giving them to her now (her birthday is in July), but I figure she can use them later when its not 95 degrees and 100% humidity.
Anyway, I made the pattern up and if anyone wants it, let me know. They were pretty simple to make, as the only semi-difficult part was figuring out how to make the increases.

Thanks for looking!
[edit] So in an attempt (which I think worked quite well) to make these more interesting, I decided to use duplicate stitch to create a diamond pattern with small amounts of the same yarn in different colors. Here is the finished project I gave my friend.

[edit]
Here's my attempt at a pattern. I've never written a pattern for another person before, so let me know if its missing something. Also I made this to fit my wrists (6 1/4 in. diameter) and my hands (7 1/2 in. diameter), so you may want to measure and resize if necessary. My hands are also very long, so you could shorten the stockinette if you need to.
Fingerless Gloves

Size 5 US needles
Gauge: 5 sts= 1in

CO 36 sts.
Row 1: K2, P1 to end of row.
Row 2: P2, K1 to end of row.
Row 3-7: Repeat rows 1 and 2.
Row 8: M1, K36, M1
Row 9: Purl
Row 10: M1, K38, M1
Row 11: Purl
Row 12: M1, K40, M1
Row 13: Purl
Row 14: M1, K42, M1 (there should be 44 sts)
Row 15-22: Stockinette stitch
Row 23-30 (or desired length): K1, P1 rib.

Seam up the sides, leaving about a 2 inch hole for the thumb.

Everybody likes pink. People who think otherwise are in denial.

I've got gloves that are like those but much longer. I think they come up to my elbow..... I call them my computer gloves b/c I can still type and stuff and they keep me warm!

I just posted the modified version of these gloves. I decided it would be easier than making a new post. Enjoy!
