I made these bookmarks for different swaps. Made of wallpaper samples. I made little holes in the bookmark with a needle, then sewed it. the result:

Those are awesome!  I'd be worried about the raised objects messing up the pages though.  Books are sacred to me and I'm crazy about keeping them pristine.
