Oy!  Still waiting on the film development, but I still wanted to brag about the lovely items I received.  Two items haven't left my place of work -- a beautiful enameled apple magnet and a beautiful painted kiwi box.  I also received an adorable apron embroidered with lots of veggies, which is great because I've really wanted an apron but have been too lazy to make one.  I'm so glad I have one now because I love to cook.  I also received cute hand-painted wooden beads (some of which I think I'm going to use for stitch markers) and an assortment of fruit & veggie handpainted and/or decoupaged cards.  yayita827 also included some recipes for homemade beauty products, which is great since the health food store stuff is expensive and I'd been looking into making my own.  I'll update in this thread with pictures as soon as they come through.

Hers wasn't even that heavy (although quite large  Wink I had to put it into the largest envelope you can get) It doesn't usually take this long to get to the US. And it's so wierd it's happened to both of us

Okay, I've tried everything I can do to make my camera turn on and I have to accept that it is just dead. So I scanned what I could of the stuff that grasshopper sent me!

She made me sculpey eggplant earrings, a tiny little eggplant trinket box (which the earrings live in, of course) a yummy veggie tote bag (couldn't fit it all on there but you can see the fabric) a tomato bracelet ( I LOVE this). She also made me a purple t-shirt that says "Eggplant is my game", but it is way too big to fit on the scanner. I feel so bad I can't do action shots...*grumpy*

But anyway, thank you grasshopper! She put so much time into my package, and talk about paying attention to my tastes!

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

Thanks for posting pics, myloveasdeep!!  Someday, my loser-self will get with the program and purchase a digital camera!!

That tomato bracelet is the BOMB!  (Do people say that anymore?  I'm so old...)

My ghetto-fied felony children (not my kids but the ones I work with, c'mon!) assure me that you can still use "the bomb" but the correct phrasing is "tight," "right," or the ever-popular "already."

"What the crap does "already" have to do with anything?", you ask.  Well, as it was explained to me:  "dang, Mizz Amanda, it's like, okay, you know, if someone say "I like them shoes," you be like "already," 'cuz you ALREADY know that you lookin' good."  So, there you go!   Grin Cheesy Grin

Of shoes and ships and sealing wax-
Of cabbages and kings.
And why the sea is boiling hot

Debbies only get respect in the knitting world.  How unfair is that?

Because Poe wrote on both of them.

Anyone up for a Jasper Fforde swap?

Oh I totally had to read that outloud Knit_core!  I'm so glad someone else did too!  lol

You have gangsta students that are five?  I am impressed!  Don't tell them that I said "bomb"-- I'm sure that's way too ancient for five year olds.  Cheesy

And if I haven't said it already, I will say it again-- this swap has been the bizzomb, tight, right, and already!  Thank you all for participating in my first attempts at organizing!  You made a rather nervous crafter calm as a cucumber (get the pun?  I had to.  I'm sorry, I had to.)   Roll Eyes
