I made this for a swap but was so proud of it I decided to post it here too!

It's about 6 inches long and maybe 1 1/2" around.  It's the first time I've made a crochet critter and I plan to make another one of these but with a few changes that I think would make it even better.

Very creative - I love the bright colors.  Please be sure to show us your 'new-and-improved' version when you've completed it.

The way the pattern is written, when you get to the end of one color, you have 12 stitches and then you change to another color and continue on.  I thought that if you added one more row and decreased down to 6 stitches before changing to the next color, you might get more definition between the balls and that's what I am hoping for when I make the next one (does that make sense?)

Yes it makes sense.  Be sure to stuff before you do that decrease to 6 stitches. It'll be pretty tight!
