I got my package as I was walking out the door to a gaming convention

Glad to see I'm not the only one with some Geek Pride !  Grin And the suspense is killing me!... even though I already know what you got because I sent it!

I am finally calming down after the long weekend and I'll get pictures posted tonight.

So, my post got here on my way out to a gaming convention that happens yearly here in my hometown. Origins. I've just now had a chance to take pictures and post them for everyone to see.

geek-pride took my love of Inara to a WHOLE new level and made me a package fit for the best of courtisans.

First here's the booty.

Two pretty lanturns for my personal quarters.

A fan for those worlds that are a little too warm, some incense, aromatherapy oil, and a small case for my lipstick (not the kind for "Goodnight Kisses" )

The incense:

A couple of beautiful hair things and a box of "Inara's Jewels".

"This isn't Inara's! It's Kaylee's! How'd that get in there? It's got too much foofaraw to be Inara's..."

"Inara's Jewels"

Written corrispondance. The one with the ribbon is "The Language of Fan's". The white one is information on Courtisan's and Geisha "Every Companion knows that love is a ritual". The card is a beautiful note from geek-pride about her wonderful package. A "Shindig in a Bag"!

I wore this beautiful shawl on the "Formal Night" for my character at the gaming convention. I had also used the fan and the essential oil just along the edge of it to give me a softly scented aura that all my friends LOVED!

The Lanturns came in this beautiful satin bag.

I LOVED everything, and I can't wait to get the lanturns hung in my room. I just have to find some small bulbs to light them with.

Thank you geek-pride!

The essential oil on the fan! Now why didn't I think  of that? What a great idea!
Glad you liked it all. It was my first wrap/shawl in fabric with edgings and I kind of made it up as I went along.

I have pictures of the stuff shineshinefairy sent me, and it's all so beautiful!

First off, a great coin necklace with strands of cord that are vegan-friendly. As modeled by the incredible knitted pirate geek-pride sent me in the pirate swap round 2.

Next, the wanted poster of Kaylee. So hard to photograph. :-p But I think the text is readable at least. I'm hanging it up once I find a suitable place for it and get some hardware.

Next, a really cool cheongsang purse. The pocket on the front is functional. As modeled by my favorite blazer.

Next, a fabulous dragon keychain that was almost stolen by my boyfriend. I'm going to take the charm and make it into a choker necklace like so (those are my other necklaces, I have a habit of giving that treatment to any cool charm I come across!) I'll post pics of that when I finish it, though it may be a while before inspiration strikes. Smiley

Finally, the piece de resistance, a really nifty parasol with handpainted details. The structure of it is old fashioned and cool, a little fragile, but I'm going to put it to good use anyway! Sunshinefairy says it took her a long time to get right, and I can believe it.

Close-up of painted symbols.

Thank you so much sunshinefairy!

Thank you very much.  I had to start over like 3 times and it was a pain to get right, but so worth it.  I had a blast making it and doing the lettering.  Miss V. I am very glad that you like everything.

Yay! So I finally made it to my parents house to open my package! They had received it for me because I am in between apartments right now Smiley The anticipation was killer! they got it last weekend and I had to wait all week to come get it!

Anyways, heres the awesome package that Sweetttart3 sent me!

The embroidery on the pillow is so awesome! I just wish I had the patience and time to sit down and learn myself! I put the shirt on this morning and wore it to take my car to get serviced and the mechanic commented on it! He had seen the show and understood it, but said he'd never seen a shirt like this to which my mom and I proudly said that it was homemade.  Grin

Thanks so much Sweetttart3 for my awesome package! (btw if you have any other pictures you'd like to post please do  Smiley)

and a HUGE Thanks to Shylittlegoddess for organizing!
