Hi all,
This summer I will be running a summer program for a group of high schoolers called "Artrepreneurs." In the program the students learn how to make their own stencils and then decorate, market and sell their products. Because the kids will be running their own art-based business, they learn creative as well as business and marketing skills. I ran the same program last year, and this summer we're going to expand somewhat and one of the things I would like to add is to have a crafty businessperson or artist who is familiar with selling their work come and speak to the students about the business side of being a working artist-- it'd be pretty informal, I just want the students to be able to ask questions and get some advice from someone with experience in the business side of the art world. The dates would be flexible-- the program runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings in July and August from 4:30-6:30 in Pawtucket, RI, and I was thinking sometime in last July would be best, but I'd be willing to plan around your schedule. If you've got questions or think you might be interested, drop me an email at abbeychristine@yahoo.com. Thanks so much!

Abbey
