I think I used just about 2 skeins. I had four of the plum total. I think the tank used up about 2(and every last bit of those 2 skeins with nothing left over) and the shrug about 2.

It's really cute!  I'm starting to rethink my opinions on this project...I think my wardrobe is badly in need of a Short 'n Sweet!

I absolutely LOVE your shrug!  I'm an experienced crocheter & yet I'm having some problems with this pattern.  The chart doesn't seem to match the written directions for all rows.  I'm now stuck on row 6.  Did you have any problems with this pattern?  Know about any corrections?
Thanks & happy hookin'

I'm on vacation and don't have the book in front of me, but it seems there was some errors in the written directions. Some missing chain 2's It think. There are a few threads on here that mention it. There is errata on the bust site too. If I remember correctly, the chart in the book is correct, it's just the written directions.

There is info on this in the errata... go to http://www.bust.com/knithappens/oops.shtml and scroll to the bottom of the page - there's the general errata PDF and a special file at the bottom just to clarify this project.

Hope that clears it up for you!

There are two sides to a trumpeter's personality.  There is the one that lives only to lay waste to the woodwinds and strings, leaving them lying blue and lifeless along the swath of destruction that is the trumpeter's fury.  And then there's the dark side.

Thanks to all who answered my questions!  I found the errata page & the other suggestions.  Now to get back to the piece...
