Pardon me if this is a dumb question, but what is a ddr mat?
DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution. It's a video game. Instead of playing with a controler you dance on a pad that connects like a nromal controler. It has an up arrow a down and a left and a right. You dance and hit the steps in order to win/play the game. It's really a lot of fun.

A simple DDR mat looks like this (click link)

But there are different thicker ones or even ones with Bar's attached to help people keep their balance.

I have been working on the same project! I play round the clock with five other girls-who all live in different neighborhoods, and own different game versions...somehow I am the only one who bought the generic mats (that work with any game system) so I have to cart two of them everywhere.

Not that I'm complaining if it means I play more DDR!

Anyway, back on task.
I'm making a messenger bag out of canvas. Thick thick strap, and lined with...honestly I don't know what this is-it's very felty. In place of a pattern or tute, I just folded my mats twice (hotdog, then hamburger) and cut my fabric around that shape.

Wow. I completely read that wrong. I'm making a bag FOR my mats-and you are making a bag FROM your mat.

Well I'm a little sad, but definitely show us the pics when you make it!
