Now that summer is here (at least in the US), my mom and I have been hitting up the local rummage sales.

This week, I managed to get 16 full/mostly full skeins of yarn for under $4.  That's less than 25 cents a piece.  I'm very excited.  Don't have a clue what to do with it all, but still, very excited.  And I got some pattern mags for 10 cents a piece!  They're old (1990's) but since they're old they don't have all the wacky fun fur patterns in them.  BUT the one magazine shows you how to knit a shawl...out of Christmas Tree garland.  Yeesh.

And I got one of those big air hockey games for $15.  Rummage sales rock Smiley

One little question though, some of the yarn is rather old, and has this "moth protectant" feature.  This feature apparently is a chemical because they have "DuPont" on the label.  I don't see this on any yarn today, so I'm wondering, is this safe?  Should I just use this for cozies and not stuff like blankets or stuff to wear?
