I love this stuff! It air dries and you can sand it and paint it with watercolors (which I love)
a few things to watch out for: it's not good for very delicate details. also it dries out quickly once you open it, so you have to keep it in a airtight container. I made these guys with it:

I didn't realize your gnomes were paperclay! I love it, personally, but I'm not a good judge because I'm not a big clay person. I love the easy cleanup and lightness of the final product, though. Plus, it's so easy to color....

where would one purchase paper clay? ive never heard of it before! it looks really cool, and so do your nomes! i want one!

i made some before and just found them today! ill have to post a pic sometime....i used to be obsessed with drawing the buggers....i even embroidered one on my shirt

I remember using this stuff when I was little but I called it self hardening clay.  I don't remember what I made out of it but distinctly remember the feel of it and the little fibers in the clay.   I love you gnomes.  Way too cute.
