I guess this would be my first post - my friend introduced me to craftster and I've been browsing the site ever since.

I'm more of a sewer and less of a craft kid (which doesn't mean I don't like crafts! I'm up for anything!) So when I heard that Dell Fabrics (up on Miracle Mile in St. Louis Park) was closing, I was pretty bummed.  Dell was the place for really nice fabrics (great prints, silks, etc.)

So I guess this was more an informative post.  You could share a Dell Fabrics story or two (I don't know how many people even knew about Dell.)

The one question I have - where do I go for nice fabrics now?  I heard there is a great fabric store in St. Paul but I do not know the name.

Keep Crafty,
Spork

Hey Spork! Try Treadle Yard Goods on Grand Ave in St. Paul. I'm not sure of the cross street....Dale maybe? Or Victoria? It's across from Green Mill Pizza and near Kowalski's. There's also a good quilt shop in Highland Park near Lund's but I am not sure of the name. Good luck!

You gotta go to Crafty Planet. By far, the best fabric selection around. In my humble opinion!  Grin

I'm a SR Harris whore: http://www.srharrisfabric.com/  Bring a buddy, it can be overwhelming. It's huge.

And, of course, I second the Crafty Planet.
