I'm late to the party here - but is it very heavy (weight wise)? And is it really stiff, or just mildly stiff? A little stiff is ok, I think. I have a set of size 13 needles that I was thinking would work good with this. Thanks for the inspiration!

It's not TERRIBLY stiff, just mildly. It would soften up with time, though. As far as weight goes, it's a little more dense than your average scarf, but not by much. Size 13's wouldn't be bad for this project although I think if I were to do it again I'd use at least 15s. I'd want it to be a lot more loopy than it is.

i noticed that mine was getting kinda heavy (and slightly stiff, though i'm hoping a few washings will help that)....but that gave me an idea, i have a heap of old tee's that i'm planning to cut up (cut the pictures off of or whatever) for quilts, and then use the scraps from that to knit a tee-shirt scarf. that might be more light weight and more stretchy than stiff.

just an idea right now, though....
