Paris Loop

I ran across this pattern earlier today And I love it.  I think I'm gonna go out and get some stuff to work on it this weekend!!  I'll post with my progress and hopefully pics when I finish;-)

Okay here's my loop...finished it last night.



My hubby says its ugly because its not one color....but who cares what he says.  I'm thinking of making matching hand/arm warmers (ones just to little after the wrist) cause i have yarn left.

I like all the bright colors, too.  My project is over 1/2 done now.  I just finished classes for this quarter; so, I should be able to finish it shortly.  The autumn weather seems to want to move in over here to help encourage me!

Just bought the yarn for this very project - and was wondering if any of you paris loop ladies could help me.

When knitting the first row in the round - any advice on how to keep the yarn from twisting?  Is it important to keep all of the stitches in the same direction for the entire first row - or only when  you connect? 

Any advice would be so very appreciated.

Hi Misskie,

The important part is connecting.  Make sure all the stitches are lined-up first, otherwise you will have a Paris Mobius Strip instead of a Paris Loop.

Yeah the yarn I got is kinda fluffy so I had a really hard time keeping them straingt in the first few rounds, I did end up with a mobeus, so I ripped it out last night and started over.  After some pains and sich, I was able to manage to get about 1inch knit and keep it from twistong, Now I shouldn't have a problem correct??  I'll post pics as soon as I finish!

mommalion, really nice job with your loop! It looks like a perfect fit. I've been itching to try this project. Did you have to block it? and How much yarn did you end up using?

You shouldn't have any more trouble after straightening out the twist.  In case you do have a question, however, don't hesitate to ask!
