So last night as I sat on the bed making these earrings

(from left to right, some kind of green stone with silver wire wrapping, hematite and black seed bead, black stone drops)
my boyfriend came and sat down with me and asked if he could use my stuff and make a bracelet with hematite beads. I of course said yes. he's never made anything like this before, and I think it's SO COOL:

He was very proud, and I am overjoyed that he's gettin crafty too. Grin

Great jewelry. I'm excited to see the felt monsters! Grin

Look at me, I'm on TV, it makes up for the shortcomings of being poor. Now I'm in a million pieces picked up for deliberation by the people listening at home, by the people watching on the telly...

The earrings are gorgeous, and the bracelet is too.

He is sooooo cool - being interested in crafting, that's a rareity in the male of our species!   Shocked Lucky girl  Grin

I have to say though, whilst my hubbie doesn't make things, because he is a skilled metal worker, he has helped me make things - he has a wealth of experience, no point in me making mistakes and ruining things, when he can help me  Cheesy

Love it all!

So lucky for you to have a crafty boy. Everytime I sit down to make jewelry, mine just looks at me confused   Roll Eyes

Thanks everyone! Grin

How was the bracelet put together?

It's tigertail (plastic coated wire) tied onto a barrel clasp. Two pieces of tigertail were tied on, then the beads were strung, then the other ends were tied to the other end of the clasp, and then i used really strong glue to keep the knots strong.

Awww, qu lindo!  I too think it's great when boys get crafty.  The craftiest my boyfriend has ever gotten was the three successful stitches he knit about a year ago.  Wink  Nowadays he is always offering his opinion ("why don't you do this?" and "what if you tried that?"), but he isn't willing to try for himself.

I think all men are secretly crafty; some are just brave enough to admit it.  He sounds like a winner!  (I like his style, too)
