Swap name: The 4Rs swap- that's reduce, reuse, recycle and revamp
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: pinkangel1979
Sign-up date range: 6/14/06- 6/23/06
Date to send item by: 7/20/06

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): nope

Non-U.S. participants allowed? of course

All ages allowed? Or 18+? all ages as long as you can get to PO

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: YES

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: YES

Details of swap:
Originally discussed here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=94716.0

You must make one large item and two-three smaller items.  Make more if you would like to but agree with your partner first to avoid embarrasment & swap anxiety!

All items should be hand made and fit in to one of the R categories: reduce, reuse, recycle and revamp
So reduce could be a reusable grocery bag to avoid using the shops carrier/paper bags.  Or revamp something from a thrift store into a useful item.  The possibilities are endless and I'll post some more ideas soon.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap: 4Rs
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside of the US?
Items you can make:
Items you would like (guideline only):
Favourite colours/combos:
Favourite patterns/symbols etc
Favorite materials:
Anything you would not like:
Clothes sizes:
Jewellry sizes:
Fave accessories (purses, headbands, belts etc with sizes if necessary)
Anything else you'd like your partner to know (vegetarian/vegan/allergies etc)?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

Please PM your partner once you've been matched up to say hi, PM again when you send and receive (cc to me) and don't forget to take photos.  PM me with any problems and post in this thread to make sure you get updates.
I want this to be a fun, flake free swap.  Smiley

So..would this be kind of a thing where you make things based on your partner's interests, and you just have to not use any new materials?  Only stuff bought from a thrift or found on the side of the road, kind of thing? I can make homemade paper and I have quite a stash of recycled yarn from sweaters.

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

I sure hope I get approved for this swap. I am so sick of carrying plastic bags with books in them. I want a reuseable library bag!

This is so tempting.  A lot of the stuff I do is recycle and re-use things!  I just made a couple of necklaces tonight from beads from a broken one and make earrings from bottle caps and rag rugs and all sorts!

I'll think about it..  Smiley

I've been away for a couple of days at a web design conference in London so I haven't read my PMs yet- I'll post a list of those approved later today or tomorrow.
