Hi! I've made (yet another) black beanie hat (I'm really starting to get the hang of it!) but I want to add some sort of decoration as it is rather plain.
Any suggestions? (not pom poms Wink ) I don't know - a knitted flower? stitched flower? knitted cartoon guy.....? i really don't know..
I need some crafty inspiration...... and tut (i'm not wanting much am i  Roll Eyes )

Do you have any wool?  There are some great patterns for felted flowers.  Some of them you can just knit a rectangle, felt it, cut out petals, and then sew them together!

I like the knitted flower idea.  You could may a several of them and then pin them on so you could change to suit your mood.

thankyou - am going to try and make my own knitted flower - i'll let you know how i get on... just a couple of questions
(1) is felting making the wool wet and then ironing it?
(2) is it necessary to do the above?

You could definitely make a knitted flower withou felting it.  The felting would just give it a different look.
