I was wondering if we could put together a list here of craft show opportunities in Chicago?  I really want to do some craft sales and want to know my options.  Maybe others are interested as well!  I did Renegade last year, but this year it is $210 fee plus table rental and i lost my craft partner who i shared a space with.  I guess the two shows I know of are:

Renegade Craft Fair, Sept 16/17, $210 fee, due July 1
DIY Trunk Show, Nov 18, $50 fee, due July 15

Maybe if you all know of smaller craft show opportunities you can list them here too?!

Depart-ment happens 4 times a year, the next one is during the Pitchfork Festival at the end of July.  It doesn't cost anything, they just take 10% of whatever you end up selling.

I vaguely remember hearing about a craft market type thing in chicago that is going to take place every weekend in a particular neighborhood, I know that's not very helpful so I'll search around for more info.

yes, there is an outdoor craft market called the lot that takes place in wicker park (not the actual park but the area).  it's right next to estelle's.  here's the info:

do you know how the sku code thing works?   you provide your own sku codes?

looks like these are the costs:
Per day: $75.00
Two weekends (MINIMUM REQUIRED): $300.00 plus $25.00 city fee=$325.00
Month: $575.00 plus $50.00 in city fees=$625.00 (save $25.00)

and it is July through August.

The way the Depart-ment Sku coding was explained to me was very simple.  They take your name and give you a three (or possibly four? can't remember exactly) letter code then you follow that with the dollar amount in three spaces.  So for example if my code was JUN and my piece cost $10 it would read

JUN010

If it cost $250 it would read

JUN250

So you can "sku" your items yourself.

(I'll be participating for the first time at Pitchfork!! I'm very excited.)
