Hey NYers -- I'm moving to W190th next week and I'd like to start/join a local craftster-based meetup. It doesn't have to be in my neighborhood, but close to it would be nice.  Grin

Any takers?

There's not much in the way of coffee shops/other places to meet up where I am (W190th -- did I already say that?). How about near you? Or something in the middle?

Howdy, neighbor.

I haven't been successful in starting anything in this neighborhood, but I do meet up with some knitters at the concourse under Rock Center (although personally I'm on knitting hiatus until after the first of the year).

Details are here: http://community.livejournal.com/nyc_knits

Hi everyone!

I live WAY uptown too.  Cheesy

I just created a new Meetup called The NYC Soapmaker's Circle. This group will gather for soapmaking, and the creation of other bath related goodies. It will be fun!

Check us out: http://soapmaking.meetup.com/144/

If you love the quality of natural homemade soaps, why not make 'em yourself? Come try us out.

Best,
Corris

thanks for the replies!  I joined the knitting group and I'll look into the soap making, even though I've never done that before. Maybe it is time to learn?
