Beautiful.  Looks like stained glass.  What an amazing lampshade that would make - the light shining through the beads, when all the other lights were turned out.

Thank you so much!

I did end up making some lampshades like this.  They are so fun!

So last night I busted out my old beads and came up with this...

...I guess it's more of a plate though. Oh well, it got rid of some of my beads Smiley

I have so many questions........

When you place the beads in the bowl are they glued together to form the basic shape or are they just laid in the bowl (and you hope they don't all fall to the center). This is such a great idea! I really look forward to melting things. Thank you for sharing this thread and all the others in here...

I just had a bowl idea...but I can't do it until I get a chance to work outside. Tiny house, kitchen window doesn't open. And you did mention plastic fumes, so I want to try a torch or grill outside instead.
Anyway-y'all were mentioning that it's hard to stack the beads very far up the sides of a bowl, so you end up just baking them flat and molding them to a bowl instead?
What if you had two metal bowls that were very close in size? Nest them, fill up the narrow space in between with beads, and melt? I'm thinking that with the beads sandwiched between metal, they may melt faster, too.
Just an idea...
I love all the melted goodies-so awesome!
