They're plain ol' i-cord, using small (I think size 2) dpns and fingering weight yarn. I threaded the beads on before starting to knit, and voila! Shiny things.

Edit: Those would be size 2 dpns, not size 6! Whoops!

Thanks! They feel really nice too - the beads make them kind of heavy, but the yarn is soft and stretchy, so they just feel . . . well, neat.

dutchclassic, they work up pretty fast - about half an hour to string the beads and half an hour to knit (for me anyway - not always the quickest hand in the classroom). Good instant-gratification project if you've been working on something like an afghan or a sweater or another big project!
