Exhibit dates: April 25-August 12
Free admission.
Mon-Fri: 7:30-4:30, Sat. 11:00-5:00
In the loggia of the University of Wyoming American Heritage Center, 2111 Willett Dr. (Centennial Complex).
The exhibit is called "Coat Couture VIII--Art to Wear".
Around 18 coats are on display.  Some are from commercial patterns, some are self drafted patterns.  The materials varies from silk, wool, tulle, denim, cotton, upholstery remnant, swarovski crystals, beading.  Techniques are: applique, oil paint rubbing, airbrushing, hand painting, hand beading, etc.
All have interesting themes (example: "Don't Leaf Me").  The stories behind the garments are interesting.  Obviously a lot of thought, time and work was dedicated to each art piece.
If you are in the area and like to see what other artists are up to, I'd recommend going.
