I made the first pair of mitten gloves for myself, and later asked my two coworkers what they wanted me to make them for Christmas.  Since this is my first year crocheting, I said I can make hats, scarves, purses and mitten gloves.  They both wanted mitten gloves, which made me really happy because they are the hardest thing I've made so far.  And of course I think theirs turned out better than mine since they were try 2 and 3!

Pattern here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crocheted-mittens---fingerless-gloves.  This pattern is for the men's version, but my gauge was a little small so it worked out ok.  I didn't add the velcro dot because I thought it would be ugly.  I probably could have on the black ones, but meh.   Wink

The three fuzzy scarves are for three friends.  I didn't realize when I picked up the blue it was self-striping, but it was really nice, I'd never used it before.  All 3 are made with fun fur and with a V stitch from the Happy Hooker book, which works perfectly for the fuzzy yarn since you work into a big hole instead of trying to see your stitches.

Blue stripes:

Multi colored (which matches my carpet!):

Oooh, very nice!  I just crocheted some mittens, but I don't have the skill or patience to do each finger.  Maybe you could add a loop and a pretty button since you don't want the velcro?

I like penguins, stars, rainbows and blue.
If your project has any of these, don't be surprised to see me post in it! Cheesy
